Blending a new standard

Inside Fresno State’s hands-on approach to the future of wine

Dr. Yiliang Cheng, assistant professor of viticulture and enology, is working with Fresno State students to discover ways to use more natural and sustainable wine production methods, without compromising the chemistry or quality today’s consumers expect.

Through hands-on research and close partnerships with the wine industry, Fresno State students are tackling real-world challenges as they gain the experience needed to become the next generation of fine winemakers.

Watch to see how science, sustainability and industry come together in the vineyard and laboratory.
