Innovation on display during Lyles College of Engineering Projects Day

The Lyles College of Engineering at Fresno State will host its 19th annual Projects Day from 2 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, at the Resnick Student Union on campus. The free, public showcase will feature more than 100 research and design projects by Lyles College students in the disciplines of civil, computer, electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as construction management and architectural studies.

Students will provide hands-on demonstrations of their projects, which incorporate areas of agriculture, automation, energy and transportation, among others. Each project was completed with support from faculty advisers, staff and industry professionals, with funding from internal and external grants, companies and students. Students from Career Technical Education Charter High School, Edison High School and Sanger High School – who participate in their schools’ engineering pathway programs – will also present research projects.

Information about each project is available on the Lyles College website. For more details, contact Hernan Maldonado, director of the Lyles College of Engineering Pathways: Student Services program, at hernanm@csufresno.edu or 559.278.5408.
