Fresno State’s Carnegie Community Engagement Classification was renewed by the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
The elective designation recognizes campuses nationwide that demonstrate a commitment to community engagement through strong partnerships, by leveraging community assets and addressing urgent social issues.
Fresno State is among more than 230 institutions nationwide, including 10 California State University campuses, to receive the designation during this year’s classification cycle. The university previously received the designation in 2006 and 2015.
