Fresno State will host the third-annual Whole Vine Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, on the lawn northeast of the Science II Building (southwest of the corner of Barstow and Woodrow avenues) at Fresno State.
The free event offers grape and raisin samples, food trucks, music, art, kids’ activities and educational elements that spotlight the San Joaquin Valley’s role as a national leader in table, raisin and wine grape production.
Admission and parking are free, and the Fresno State Winery will offer wine tasting alongside several other wineries.
The event will also honor Fresno State alumni Dan and Monica Malcolm and their 12 children, all of whom play a part in operating Malcolm Media, at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 1.
Started in 1992, their monthly publication, American Vineyards Magazine, is the nation’s only monthly magazine devoted to the wine, raisin, juice and table grape industry. They also host grower expos and create video news and other content featuring growers and processors.
The event is sponsored by the American Vineyard Magazine, California Farm Bureau, California Table Grape Commission, Farm Credit, Fresno BMW and Raisin Administrative Committee.
