Gibson Farm Market combines spring plant sale with wine tasting

The Fresno State Horticulture Nursery will host its annual spring plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 11, at the Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.).

The event will feature affordable prices on thousands of plants, including vegetables, herbs, flowers, shrubs, small citrus trees, houseplants, annuals and perennials that are ready to plant in gardens and landscapes.

The Fresno State Winery’s Unknown Clone red wine blend is on sale at the market for 30% off as its wine of the month selection. That wine and other favorites will be featured in a free tasting from 1 to 3 p.m. on April 11.

The production section will offer fresh strawberries and citrus, and shoppers can also purchase select packaged products, such as coated raisins and almonds, at 50% to 75% off.
