Fresno State is preparing to welcome Dunkin’ as its newest dining option, located in the heart of campus. Pending completion of the construction timeline, Dunkin’ — the donut and coffee chain’s first location in the Fresno-Clovis area — will open this October where the Taco Bell Express used to be, on the lower level of the University Center.
Nicole Lane, executive director of Auxiliary Services, which oversees campus Dining Services, said she hopes the newest dining offering should be ready for a soft launch in time for Homecoming Week, on Thursday, Oct. 23.
Dunkin’ will offer the full menu, including donuts, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, specialty coffee and tea drinks and more. Dunkin’ will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Weekend hours may be adjusted further based on campus events.
Megan Sarantos, director of Dining Services, said she anticipates hiring 25 to 35 student staff members for the Dunkin’ location.
Dunkin’, founded in 1950 in Massachusetts, opened its first Central Valley location in Hanford in 2017, inside a Madera Walmart in 2018 and in Visalia in 2020.
