Campus, community invited to celebrate global learning for International Education Week

The Division of Continuing and Global Education’s International Office will present International Education Week, a vibrant week of culture, connection and discovery at Fresno State.

From Monday, Nov. 17, through Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, attendees can celebrate and learn about the benefits of international education and exchange, as well as the ways global learning impacts our local campus and community.

Events include:

  • Monday, Nov. 17 (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.): Kickoff event on the University Student Union walkway featuring music, performances, traditional attire, interactive displays and giveaways.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 18 (noon to 1 p.m.): A presentation on a study-abroad Taiwan experience – including the language, culture and adventure – by Gilman Scholarship recipient Ze Lo in the Fresno State Library (Room 2108).
  • Wednesday, Nov. 19 (noon to 2 p.m.): CultureFest at the Memorial Garden, where multicultural clubs showcase traditions and vie for the GOAT Trophy.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 19 (2-3 p.m.): International Coffee Hour at the Fresno State Library (Room 2206).
  • Wednesday, Nov. 19 (4-6 p.m.): International Culture Celebration at the Resnick Student Union Ballroom, featuring performing arts and a cultural fashion show.
  • Thursday, Nov. 20 (2 to 4 p.m.): Academic All-Stars event, at the Fresno State Library (Room 2206), honoring the dedication, hard work and persistence of about 100 international students from around the world who have demonstrated academic excellence.
  • All week: Library Exhibition on international education (Library second floor) and Library Gaming Event (Ellipse Balcony) during library hours. There will also be an Instagram takeover at @fresnostate_studyabroad.
  • Friday, Nov. 2: Virtual Wrap-up via Instagram (@fsinternationaloffice) — closing reflections and global student stories.

International Education Week offers students, faculty, staff and community partners an opportunity to engage with global perspectives. For those who have studied abroad, supported students on international exchange or are simply curious about other cultures, this week is crafted to inspire, connect and empower. The initiative, launched by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, underscores the importance of international exchange and preparing participants to thrive in a global environment.
