Race numbers can be picked up from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, or before the run/walk on Feb. 7.
“Ag One is known for providing students in the Jordan College with financial support through scholarships,” said Shannon Birkner, executive director of Ag One Foundation. “We support networking opportunities and professional development, connections to internships and careers, and we share the college and students’ stories with our stakeholders.”
Fresno State operates the largest on-campus farm in the nation, spanning 1,011 acres and featuring 18 farm units run by student workers and staff. The farm serves as a living classroom for 1,791 students enrolled in agriculture-related programs at the Jordan College, providing hands-on learning opportunities.
Through the Ag One Foundation, nearly 5,750 students have received $33 million in scholarships or program support, helping ensure the next generation of agricultural leaders has the resources needed to succeed.
“While I was a student at Fresno State, I was fortunate to be selected for an Ag One scholarship,” said Monique Mueller, director of communications at Bee Sweet Citrus. “The scholarship I received, coupled with my education, helped prepare me to work in agriculture and jumpstart my career in communications. My goal for this event is to bring awareness to the many opportunities that are available to students within the Jordan College, as well as the amazing ways Ag One supports the future of agriculture.”
