Fresno State, in partnership with Fresno Unified, Golden Plains Unified and Parlier Unified school districts, will host the second annual LaunchPad: Bulldog Bound Freshman Success Camp for 270 incoming first-generation students in the Bulldog Bound Guaranteed Admissions Program.
This immersive multi-day orientation from June 15 to 18 at Fresno State, helps students prepare for college by introducing campus resources, building academic success skills and fostering connections before the fall semester. LaunchPad provides these incoming students access to course registration assistance, financial aid resources and academic advising sessions.
Students will participate in recreation activities and obstacle courses from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, at the Student Recreation Center; team-building challenges from 11:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, at the EDGE Challenge Ropes Course; and a closing celebration at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, at the Satellite Student Union when students will design graduation caps, share goals and sign a commemorative banner.
