Accountancy students offer free income tax preparation

The Craig School of Business Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is offering free income tax preparation services for low-income taxpayers on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through April 12. (This service will not be available April 3-5 for spring break.)

Tax preparation services are available in Peters Building Rooms 134, 136 and the open computer lab in the Peters Business Building on Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Free tax preparation is available to taxpayers over 60 years old or from households with a 2025 income of $67,000 or less. Clients are asked to bring their financial documents. The United Way website has full information on eligibility and required tax documents.

Walk-ins are accepted, but clients are encouraged to register in advance by calling the United Way hotline at 211.
