Organized by Recruitment and Special Programs, Journey to Success aims to provide support with college readiness and retention resources for students in grades seven through 12 and community college students.
The conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the Satellite Student Union. The keynote speaker is Dr. Mai Lee Chang, a researcher in the areas of artificial intelligence, robotics and user experience. She recently completed postdoctoral research at Carnegie Mellon University and has been featured on TEDx.
The conference offers breakout sessions on topics such as financial aid, student success resources and career preparation. Additionally, a resource fair will be held, showcasing services available on campus and in the community.
Schedule of events:
- Check-in and resource fair: 9-10 a.m.
- Opening performance and remarks: 10:15-10:40 a.m.
- Keynote address: 10:45-11:30 a.m.
- Workshops: 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-3 p.m.
- Lunch and resource fair: 12:30-1:30 p.m.
- Campus tours: 3-4 p.m.
- Closing remarks: 4 p.m.
