New Johanson Entrepreneurship Workshops set for fall 2025

The Johanson Entrepreneurship Workshops series, presented by the Johanson Entrepreneurship Fellows at the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, returns to present four new workshops during the fall 2025 semester.

The workshops will launch with “Manufacturing and Merchandising in the Musical Instruments and Accessories Industry,” presented by Dr. Corey Whitehead of the School of Music. The workshop will take place at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Resnick Student Union, Room 208. The workshop is free to attend, but seating is limited. Participants must register for the workshop in advance.

The series will continue with three more workshops during the fall semester:

  • ”Land Your Dream Career in College: The Complete Guide to Success,” presented by Professor Betsy Hays of the Department of Media, Communications and Journalism, 1 p.m. Oct. 14.
  • ”Entrepreneurial Storytelling,” presented by Professor Jes Therkelsen of the Department of Media, Communications and Journalism, 2 p.m. Oct. 21.
  • ”Smart Winery: AI and Sustainability in the Wine Industry,” presented by Dr. Kristy Sun of the Department of Viticulture and Enology, 9 a.m. Nov. 19.

The Johanson Entrepreneurship Workshops incorporate multidisciplinary knowledge to educate students about entrepreneurial opportunities in diverse industries and instill an entrepreneurial mindset in Fresno State students. The workshops are open to Fresno State students in all majors and disciplines.
