Craig Talks to cover mindfulness, investment products, real estate outlook

The evidence for the effectiveness of mindfulness training, the risks and rewards of a new investment product and the outlook for local real estate markets will be the topics at the next Craig Talks, happening at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Alice Peters Auditorium (University Business Center). Members of the public, the business community and Fresno State students, faculty and staff are invited to attend.

The Craig Talks series presents information from Craig faculty research highlighted in the latest issue of Craig’s California Business Review magazine. Presentations from the Spring 2025 issue will include:

  • ”Making the Case for Mindfulness: An Evidence-Guided Approach for Organizational Leaders” by Dr. Christopher Sterling of the Department of Management. 
  • ”Single-Stock ETFs: High-Risk Bet or Strategic Investment Tool” by Dr. Vinh Huy Nguyen and Dr. Le Zhao of the Department of Finance, Real Estate and Business Law. 
  • “Real Estate Sentiment Index” by Dr. Andres Jauregui and Dr. Jacquelin Curry of the Department of Finance, Real Estate and Business Law. 

Craig Talks will begin with networking and refreshments at 5:30, followed by presentations in the auditorium from 5:45 to 6:45 and a post-presentation mixer from 6:45 to 7:30. Copies of the Spring 2025 issue of Craig’s Central California Business Review will be distributed for free. 

Craig Talks is free and open to the public. Free parking is available on request.
