Fresno State, for the third consecutive year, received a 4.5-star rating on a 5-star scale in Money’s 2025 Best Colleges list published June 25.
Money’s annual list showcases the top value colleges and universities based on graduation rates, cost, financial aid, alumni salaries and more. A total of 732 schools were rated this year.
Fresno State also appeared on the Best Public Colleges, Best Colleges in the West and Best Colleges with High Acceptance Rates sublists.
The California State University system dominated the ratings this year. Fifteen of the system’s 23 campuses scored in the top 10% of the ratings, and nine scored 5-stars. The CSU campuses are engines of social mobility, according to Money. The campuses are extremely affordable compared to other schools and excel at enrolling and graduating low-income and minority students, Money’s report said.
In February, Fresno State ranked No. 5 out of 82 universities in the new California Mobility Index by the College Futures Foundation and the HEA Group.
